We Have Gone Vertical!!

Today is a big day for us and the building project - we have gone vertical! The first walls - foundational walls - are going up. The slide show gives you a firsthand glimpse of what is happening on the sight today and over the next number of days.

Preparing the Walls

This is a mock-up of what the wall materials will look like. They are in the process of putting the finishing touches on this - including paint colors and cleaning the brick.

The current update on our building project has to do with the walls being built. The crews are preparing the framework to pour the walls starting this week. In addition to preparing the walls a crane will be erected this week which will be used to lift the walls into place. It is at this phase of the project when things really become visible. Very exciting.

Along with this is the undergound piping which is going in. They are currently running pipe lines for the storm drainage. This week they will begin running the piping for water and sewage. These pipelines are long and complex. If you like building things with erector sets this could be a job for you.
